Every day is a new day. A chance to start fresh and anew. It’s an opportunity to begin again and not be burdened by the past.
And so we’re celebrating “National Start Over Day” on June 5th.
“National Start Over Day” was created by Doug “Snoop” Philp, the Social Media Specialist and Web Administrator for the website National Day Calendar. He wanted people to know that it’s okay to start over; yes, there are setbacks and failures but those are moments to learn from them and grow in our own lives.
There are a good number of video games that have this idea of starting out (known more commonly as the redemption arc), and for this week’s episode, we’ll be playing tracks from video games that have the redemption arc or the idea of starting over: a dark knight wanting to atone for his past crimes, a commander revived from a severe attack, and a high school student wronged of a crime. Of course, we’ve got covers and remixes to follow.
Let’s enjoy these video games and their tracks, as you consider making a fresh start in your own life…
